EPD - Eukaryotic Promoter Database
EPD was developed to compile and share eukaryotic RNA polymerase II promoter sequences. Originally, published transcript mapping experiments (mostly primer extension and nuclease protection assays) targeting individual genes were manually curated to provide transcription start sites. With the advent of EPDnew, automatically generated promoter collections obtained from high-throughput data (produced with the CAGE or TSS-Seq protocols) were included.
EPD has reached the end of its operational life and will no longer provide data or services. We are grateful for your support and trust over the past 35 years.
If you or your community are interested in continuing EPD’s work, please contact ask-epd [at] googlegroups.com
In the meantime, we have ensured that EPD’s data and tools remain accessible for future research.
