Description:	Psychrobacter arcticus is a Gram-negative, non-motile, coccoid rod that lives in extremely cold habitats, such as Antarctic ice, soil, and sediments, as well as in deep sea environments. The sequenced strain, 273-4, was isolated from a 20-40 thousand-year-old Siberian permafrost core.
