Description:	Vibrio fischeri ES114 is the light-organ symbiont of the bobtail squid Eurpymna scolopes. The marine bacterium Vibrio fischeri is known as the specific symbiont in the light-emitting organs of certain squids and fishes where it produces luminescence through the expression of the lux operon. Luminescence is controlled by acyl-homoserine lactone quorum sensing.
