The European CD40L Defect Database

European Society for Immunodeficiencies

This database was originally developed by the Glaxo (now GSK) group at SIB. It is no longer maintained and has not been updated since 1996. However, the information provided by CD40Lbase continues to be valid. A much more up-to-date database is available.

Searching the database

You may enter keywords into two fields which are linked by the selectable <AND or NOT> operator. Several keywords in the same field, separated by this '|' sign, are treated as linked by the <OR> operator. For example:

Text words, such as DELETION, TUMOR, MISSENSE, NONSENSE etc can be used as well.

Viewing 3D structures

This server provides a number of 3D structures, which can be efficiently viewed with this interactive program: Swiss-PdbViewer and Atomic coordinate files are sent by the server as '.pdb' files which can be automatically taken up by the above programs provided your Browser (i.e. Netscape...) is configured appropriately for the MIME-type chemical/pdb. Netscape will ask you to link this type to RasMol or the Swiss-PdbBrowser if you haven't done it already.
UNIX workstation users should add the following line to their ~/.mailcap file:

chemical/pdb; rasmol %s
